It’s difficult to narrow down my interests, so I will start with the logistics. My name is Kirstan, I’m 31 years old, I am engaged to marry to most amazing woman ever, and I have son who keeps me on my toes. I work as a writer and community editor for our local newspaper. In 2016 I also celebrated an amazing milestone and graduated with my master’s degree in creative writing with a concentration in non-fiction.
Now on to me. Photography is a newer love affair for me. I grew up drawing and writing, but never really had access to a camera. In high school I even tried taking a photography class (I didn’t do that well). But about four years ago I bucked up and bought a “real” camera and started taking pictures – I fell in love.
Most of pictures are close up, semi-abstract images with a focus on natural elements. Sometimes I swing the extreme opposite and like rusty old things that I find in the woods (but maybe that is still considered nature?)
I recently launched my second series of greeting cards and I also carry postcards too. Besides selling my art locally, I’ve participated in two gallery shows.
For those of you who are interested in purchasing my artwork, I am in the process of creating an Etsy account to make buying and shipping more streamline.
Feel free to find me on Facebook, or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
